Meet John

John Drummond (HCPC Registered)

John is the owner and co-founder of Harrogate Podiatry and established his own podiatry practice in 2003.

Over the past 18 years John has established himself as one of the leading musculoskeletal podiatrists in Yorkshire. He has gained extensive experience in the private, MOD and public sectors.

John's Experience

John’s clinical area of expertise lies in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb conditions and injuries associated with biomechanical dysfunction. He has a close working relationship with local GP’s and Orthopaedic Lower Limb Consultants, which has broadened his clinical practice and gained him his well-respected reputation.

John has developed a keen interest in managing lower limb tendon conditions with specific progressive loading regimens. He has developed a specialist Heel & Foot Pain Clinic specialising in tendon problems, metatarsal pain, Morton’s neuroma and adolescent related foot conditions.

Chirpody Experience

John also specializes in Chiropody with a specific clinical interest in the management of ingrowing toe nails. He has developed a unique treatment approach, which causes the least amount of discomfort to the patient.

John has a holistic approach to treatment and believes while theoretical knowledge is an essential part of the diagnostic process, it is also important that we take time to listen to the patient’s needs in order to achieve successful treatment outcomes.

John used to be an international swimmer and still trains with a local club where he gives the youngsters a run for their money!

John is a member of the Health Care Professions Council and the Society of Podiatrists and Chiropodists.
